Electronic Vote Counting / Audience Response Systems
Motivating people, empowering them or simply involving or entertaining visitors or delegates has always been the major challenge for most organisations when planning their events. The speaker is the person ultimately responsible for whether his/her audience has to endure one-way communication (i.e. being talked at) or can enjoy the experience and dynamism of true two-way communications created through interaction.
Audience Response Systems (ARS) allow the audience to directly interact with the speaker, giving instant feedback to audience polls or quizzes. Audience Response Systems are widely used in gameshows and annual general meetings (AGM), and are often known by a wide variety of different names including personal response systems, audience participation systems, interactive voting systems and electronic voting systems (EVS).
How does an electronic voting session work?
An Audience Response System is used to display a series of multiple choice questions on a screen during a presentation. Participants are supplied with a keypad which has buttons corresponding to each of the answers, with a base station collecting the answers for instant display or future analysis. Before the event, the questions are programmed into the audience response system using specialised software, though the question screens can be integrated with existing presentations.
Digivote is such an Audience Response System, allowing instant feedback from your delegates on any issues that you may wish to raise. Many question types are available, from simple opinion polling and multiple choice to complex quizzes, parliamentary and shareholder options. It uses radio frequency signals to communicate and is available either for sale or hire.
XPRESS is a simple Audience Response System ideal for small presentations or use within a classroom. It features infrared keypads and is for sale as a portable system, allowing you to turn any room into a meeting facility within minutes.
